January 20, 2014 – Muncie, IN – Shafer Leadership Academy, East Central Indiana’s nonprofit leadership development institute, will present the leadership program Fusion: Leading Multi-Generational Teams on two occasions in 2014. The first offering will be on Wednesday, May 7th and the second offering will be held Thursday, July 31st. Both workshops will be from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the Innovation Connector in Muncie, Indiana.
Fusion is a four hour hands-on journey to a better understanding of people and what makes them think and act the way they do, especially as it relates to their generational background. This workshop will equip participants to be more effective leaders through understanding the challenges, opportunities and best practices in leading multi-generational teams. Each participant will take away from this experience an appreciation of each of the four major generational groups active in the workplace today, an overview of the challenges and opportunities multi-generational teams present, insights regarding the world views, needs, and skill sets of various generations, and an understanding of how to facilitate effective collaboration among multi-generational group members.
Cyndi Davisson, Director of Professional Development at IU Health – Ball Memorial Hospital, will facilitate this program. She brings many years of experience in personal and professional development training to this topic and will present this important information in a creative style that you will not soon forget!
The registration deadline for the May 7th session is Friday, May 2nd. Standard tuition for the workshop is $60.00 and just $50.00 for Shafer Leadership Academy Alumni and groups of three or more from one organization.
