Virtual Coffee Talk
[blockquote]
Many have heard of or taken the Myers Briggs Personality Inventory. This program asks each participant to take MBTI again, bring their four (4) letters for a discussion about preferences and how these might impact their life in work, home and social situations. It is a chance to sit back and get a true sense of why some of us seek all the details while others seem to decide on a whim. Why do some of us enjoy constant talk and reply while others sit quietly listening. Why is it some have ‘orderly’ closets, offices and others have piles and stacks. And what makes one seek harmony and agreement while others simply move ahead with decisions with some but not much regard for feelings. This session deals with how to respect other types, how to modify at times your type and how to feel comfortable with career choices as well as mate and living choices based on one’s Myers Briggs. The MBTI is still the most widely used assessment and the particpants will leave knowing there is no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ type, but how to accept their type.

Learning Objectives
[blockquote]
- Understand why it is you need alone time somewhat regularly?
- Take into account not all people ‘plan’ the same way regarding details.
- Get a better understanding for why you might want all 5 senses satisfied while others have no desire to know much detail.
- Get a sense that within familes there can be multiple Myers Briggs types given that the children do not normally inherit the MB types of parents creating a fascinating challenge at times.
- Fully take into account co-workers types and understand they may function differently.
