Shafer Leadership Academy is pleased to announce that two valued members of its team, Tisha Gierhart and Eilis Wasserman, are stepping into exciting new roles!
Tisha Gierhart, former Program Director, is now Shafer Leadership Academy’s Chief Facilitation Officer. Since joining the organization in 2014, Tisha has been dedicated to fostering leadership excellence, drawing on over a decade of experience in healthcare focused on customer service and patient experience. Her ability to blend empathy with strategic insight has made her a trusted leader in developing impactful programs that inspire growth and connection.
As Chief Facilitation Officer, Tisha will lead the facilitation of select Shafer Leadership Academy programs, crafting engaging and mission-driven learning experiences that empower individuals and teams. A certified coach, trainer, and speaker with The John Maxwell Team, she brings advanced facilitation expertise, including credentials in The Leadership Challenge and over 40 hours of certified coach training. Passionate about building purposeful relationships, Tisha integrates her leadership philosophy with a commitment to service, authenticity, and community impact.
Eilis Wasserman is taking on the role of Program Director. Eilis’s passion for leadership development and talent for creating inspiring programs have significantly impacted the organization. She is organized, dedicated, and passionate about helping people grow as leaders.
As Program Director, Eilis will be responsible for all aspects of program facilitation and coaching, with a focus on developing, delivering, and assessing leadership programs. She will create strategic and operational initiatives to develop more leaders for East Central Indiana and beyond. Eilis will also play a key role in assisting the organization with financial sustainability through program facilitation and a focus on delivering custom and community programming. Her exceptional communication, computer, and organizational skills will be invaluable in this role.

These changes not only celebrate their hard work but also position Shafer Leadership Academy to better serve our community’s evolving needs.”
