Community Engagement and Inclusion ambassador
About the Positions
The Community Inclusion Ambassadors are primarily responsible for all activities related to building relationships with underserved communities across East Central Indiana, with a specific focus on growing our network within Delaware County. The Community Inclusion Ambassadors will serve as a brand ambassador, working to connect underrepresented populations with the inclusive leadership development opportunities provided by Shafer Leadership Academy, with a specific focus on increasing program attendance, non-profit board service, candidates for local elected office and neighborhood association involvement.
As a result, the Community Inclusion Ambassadors will spend much of their time traveling East Central Indiana, operating within the spaces and places best recognized by vulnerable populations. In addition, the Community Inclusion Ambassadors will also be expected to provide insight and expertise into Shafer Leadership Academy’s public programs and internal operations related inclusion and diversity.

Compensation
This is a part-time position which pays $25 an hour for anticipated 20 – 40 hours a month. Selected candidates will also be provided Shafer Leadership Academy branded apparel and an expense account for meals.
Timeline
The posting will close on Friday, May 13th at 12:00 PM. Our Diversity and Inclusion Team (a committee of our board of directors) will screen applicants. Finalists will be invited for interviews in late May.
Our goal is to fill all three positions by June 1st.
