Belonging Beyond Boundaries: 5 Leadership Strategies for Building Inclusive Remote & Hybrid Teams

In today’s continually evolving work landscape, leaders face challenges in fostering connection, inclusion, and belonging among remote and hybrid teams. This session will explore strategies to help leaders build a culture where every team member feels valued and engaged, regardless of location. Participants will explore five key practices for nurturing a sense of inclusion and belonging. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, this session will equip leaders with the tools to create an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team in any work environment.

Cost: Free for SLA Members. $50 non-member. $30 nonprofits.

Individuals who are either unemployed or connected with an employer who is unable to pay can request scholarships for any of our programs.


About Our Facilitator

MeChelle Callen is the visionary founder of Equitable HR Consulting, dedicated to cultivating inclusive work environments where ALL individuals can truly thrive. Her diverse background spans non-profit management, healthcare, commercial real estate, and financial services, enriching her insights and approaches. MeChelle is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and workshop facilitator both locally and nationally- HR Indiana, National SHRM Conference and Expo, VIP Women’s Conference, ATD-CIC and more. She also contributes her expertise as an Associate Faculty Member of the Kelley School of Business, IU Indianapolis. She serves the community as a board member of the Peace Learning Center, a member of the IndySHRM DEI committee, GenderNexus governance committee, and as a dedicated volunteer with IndyPride. MeChelle holds a Bachelors Degree from Ball State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a Mom to two adult children and a Meme to two littles.
