Virtual Lunch & Learn
This session is designed to have participants ‘audit’ their life. This audit is not directed at history but at the amount of time and effort put into a wide-range of necessary activiites, chores, challenges, commutes, sleep, child care, child activities, personal time, TV viewing and on and on in our daily and weekly routines. Part of the audit is to possibly find flaws in how we individually, as a couple or as a family might be making some poor use of time and what might be done to correct such issues. Part of the audit is to also look at how might each person be more effective with their use of time and the collective use of time in their daily, weekly and monthly lives. It’s not quite doing an Excel sheet on various duties and responsibilities and then ‘communicating’ the concerns and/or positives with others we share a life with, but it’s an audit of our life plain and simple.
Learning Objectives
- To have a written document of how time is spent by ourselves and those involved in our lives that might impact how our time is spent.
- For a family to seriously note time spent on a range of family activities, chores and necessities and who’s resposible for each of these clearly indicating how much time is spent on these during a normal day, week and month.
- Have open communication with those involved on how various duties, tasks, chores and commitments might be re-arranged or divided differently allowing some flex time for all involved.
- Take time to assess ownership of items and determine if they are clearly being used, are the holdings one has appropriate, is there a need for more or less when it comes to various household and personal items.
