January 28, 2013, Muncie IN – LEAD-ECI, East Central Indiana’s Community Leadership Academy, recently announced its leadership training schedule for 2013. Each program in the lineup was developed in response to input from organizations throughout East Central Indiana and address specific areas of leadership development and other skills needed for effective personal and collective growth. They include:
Emergence: Personal Foundations of Effective Leadership (April 2nd – May 22nd, and September 25th – November 13th)
This core offering is an eight-week highly-interactive program designed to benefit both emerging leaders and experienced leaders looking to enhance their current leadership abilities. Participants can expect to take away a better understanding of their own personal leadership style as well as the knowledge, confidence, and tools to more effectively lead others. As in years previous, this course will be offered in both the spring and the fall.
Fusion: Leading Multi-Generational Teams (February 21st in Muncie, and July 16th in Jay County)
A four hour interactive and thought provoking workshop that will equip participants with an understanding of the various motivations of individuals from different generations. Learn to be a more effective leader and team member by understanding the challenges, opportunities, and best practices of multi-generational teams.
Ingenuity: Creativity & Innovation for Leaders (June 13th)
A one-day workshop that provides 21st Century leaders with an understanding of how to facilitate and enhance creative thinking and innovation in the workplace to create effective organizational change. Learn and practice the facilitation techniques that free participants to think beyond the usual, that encourage broad thinking, and that result in ownership and implementation of the strategies devised.
All Aboard: Board Leadership in Motion (spring session, June 11th, and fall session November 19th)
This three hour workshop provides insight into the typical responsibilities of a non-profit board member, how individuals can find the right board to serve on that compliments their values and interests, and common traits that effective board members share. Participants will also learn of specific not-for-profit board opportunities that are available in the region.
Propel: Leading a Group from Vision to Action (November 21st)
A one-day workshop that provides insight and practical application into how leaders can facilitate more effective and efficient results from the teams they lead. 21st Century leaders must help groups get work done with greater challenges and fewer resources. Propel helps get you there.
